Our approach to Early Education
Giggles Early Years approach
Our Approach Explained
Giggles Early Years view every child as a naturally capable and motivated learner. Every child is seen, heard, and valued in all aspects of their learning. We hold a truly authentic play-based curriculum which extends from the child’s unfolding understanding and enduring needs, growing in complexity with their development. This is developed and enriched through unique childhood experiences using observation and documentation to build the shape of our environments and children’s experiences.
“Play is the primary engine of brain development and essential to the emotional maturation process”.
“Play provides neural exercises that provide resilience, creating an ability for a child to regulate their emotional stress”.
Gabor Mate
Each child’s Education is supported through intentional teaching and spatial changes. Our philosophy is inspired by Northern Ireland strategies Play Matters, Northern Ireland Preschool Curriculum and world-renowned schools in Reggio Emilia, Italy, Te Whariki, Steiner, Pikler and a sprinkle of the curiosity approach.
Research asserts one of the greatest impacts on the quality of early childhood education is the link between the experience and qualifications of our early years practitioners. Our passionate Early Years practitioner support curiosity, creativity, and learning. Our setting has a strong commitment to early professional development. Our setting promotes a trauma informed approach to early childhood education. Early years practitioners are aware of the impact of interaction with the baby’s environment on brain development and the importance of relationships for brain development.
